YSR Congress rebel MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju said that he would attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting in Bhimavaram on July 4.
He alleged that the State government was trying to arrest him and warned that it would lead to greater problem for the government.
The MP said that he had credible information that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had given strict instructions to the police to arrest him either on his arrival or departure.
He also said that the chief minister had told a delegation of Alluri Sitarama Raju Birth Centenary Committee not to invite him.
“The chief minister told some of them not to allow me to be part of the event. I am the local MP and belongs to the Alluri Sitarama Raju’s caste. I want to seek if these committee members work with the spirit of Alluri Sitarama Raju or Rutherford who killed the freedom fighter,” Raghurama Krishnam Raju said.
While Raghurama Krishnam Raju is visiting his home constituency for the first time after two years, it is to be seen whether he would share the dais with the chief minister or not.
“I want to see him (the chief minister) on the dais. It will be quite interesting,” Raghurama Krishnam Raju said.
