TDP suspects conspiracy behind Pawan proposal?

The proposal made by power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan to the Telugu Desam Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party on forging alliances to defeat YSR Congress party seems to have backfired on him.

While the BJP has warned Pawan Kalyan against falling into the trap of YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy by talking about options on alliances at this stage, the TDP, it appears, sees a conspiracy behind the proposal.

A heated discussion is doing rounds in the social media supporting the TDP suspecting some foul play in Pawan’s proposal.

According to this discussion, Pawan’s call to prevent split of the anti-YSR Congress vote is actually meant for decimate the TDP completely and fill the space with Jana Sena along with the BJP.

“TDP will never ask you to bear its palanquin; not does it bear your palanquin. So, where is the need to accept your proposal and come a few steps down?” a TDP follower asked in the discussion.

According to his assessment, apart from the anti-YSRC vote, the TDP is going to wrest another 10 per cent of the votes polled by the YSRC in the last elections. The TDP is not going to benefit much from the four percent votes the Jana Sena would get, he argued.

The TDP suspects that according to the road map suggested by the BJP to Pawan Kalyan, Jana Sena would demand for more than 50 assembly seats from the TDP as part of the alliance, thereby restricting the TDP to just around 100 seats.

“The seats Pawan will ask for are the YSR strongholds, so that there will be friendly contests in these seats. Thus, in a planned manner, the Jana Sena will help YSRC to get around 80 seats. If Jana Sena wins 10 seats, they will be surrendered to the YSRCP. So, in a planned way, Pawan, along with the BJP, will ensure that the YSRCP will return to power,” the TDP follower said.

Stating that the joint strategy of the BJP, Jana Sena and YSRC is to isolate Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP follower expressed confidence that the TDP can win the elections on its own with the people’s support.

The TDP ranks in the social media also ridiculed the fight between the BJP and Jana Sena over the chief ministerial candidate.

“One party doesn’t have even a single seat; while another party has only a single seat. Yet, they are claiming CM post,” was a comment in the social media.
