BJP leaders in Visakhapatnam district are growing increasingly anxious as they wait in hope for nominated posts.
While several rounds of appointments have already taken place, most of the posts are reportedly going to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), with the Jana Sena Party also being given considerable priority.
In contrast, the BJP is receiving only a handful of positions — and even those haven’t reached the coastal region of Visakhapatnam.
Long-time BJP workers are expressing their disappointment, stating that despite being part of the ruling alliance, they are being sidelined when it comes to political recognition through nominated posts.
During the general elections, many leaders from Visakhapatnam were ready to contest, but seat-sharing within the alliance left them out.
At the time, they were assured that nominated positions would follow. Now, even those promises seem to be fading.
BJP cadres argue that the party holds significant strength in Visakhapatnam and will need administrative leverage to prove itself in upcoming local body elections.
They believe that if all posts continue to go to TDP and Jana Sena, it sends a message that senior and deserving BJP leaders are being overlooked — a situation that has led to growing unrest within the party ranks.
