Politics has reached ugly proportions in Andhra Pradesh and some leaders have given a complete go-bye to the decency, decorum, respect and courtesy while indulging in slugfest against one another.
Of course, no political party is an exception to this ugly trend. If the YSR Congress party leaders use unparliamentary language against the TDP leaders, the latter, too, have been retorting in equally foul language.
If the YSRC pitches leaders like Kodali Nani, Dwarapudi, Gudivada Amarnath and Roja to attack the TDP leaders in abusive language, the TDP is fielding foul-mouthed leaders like Bonda Uma and Vangalapudi Anitha etc.
Abusive phrases like “Nee Amma Mogudu,” “Em Peekuthav” have become very common in the war of words between the two parties.
A comment made by newly-appointed tourism minister R K Roja against TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday has evoked a filthy attack from the opposition party.
Reacting strongly to the allegations made by Nara Lokesh on the growing atrocities on women in the state, Roja sought to know what saree she should send to Naidu for not able to ensure victory of his son Lokesh, indicating that he lacked the qualities of a man.
On Thursday, TDP leader Anam Venkataramana Reddy asked Roja what she would send to Jagan for not able to get his mother Vijayamma win Visakhapatnam seat in 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
He went a step further and said he would bikini, lipstick and old cut-drawers to Roja, if she did not mend her ways.
“How many do you want? Shall I send you in kilos or a container load?” Reddy asked.
He alleged that the despite the tall claims by the Jagan government that 1.40 crore women had downloaded Disha mobile application, rapes were taking place regularly in Andhra Pradesh.
Reacting to Roja’s comments that all those in the TDP were insane people, Reddy reminded that she, too, had taken her political birth in the TDP.
“Are you also an insane woman?” he asked.
On Roja’s allegation that the TDP leaders were involved in call money and sex rackets, the TDP leader said Roja should recollect her complaint on her old videos that were in circulation.
