TDP Forms Panel For Tirupati Campaign

TDP Forms Panel For Tirupati Campaign

The series of defeats, that too, humiliating defeats, seems to have made an attempt on the opposition TDP to wake up and work.

The party had tasted humiliating defeat in the gram panchayat elections and the municipal elections, after nearly two years of the 2019 general elections.

Now, the by-election to the Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency would only be the choice for the party to prove its strength before it gets ready for the 2024 general elections.

While admitting the repeated defeats, Chandrababu Naidu told the rank and file to get ready for a better battle at Tirupati.

The TDP chief had divided the Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency into 75 clusters, each having an office.

Former ministers, former MPs, former MLS and former MLCs, besides senior leaders of the party would head each cluster to monitor the party’s campaign.

Chandrababu Naidu had also formed a five-member panel to closely monitor the campaign. Party general secretary Nara Lokesh, state unit president K Atchennaidu, former minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, senior leaders Panabaka Krishnaiah and Bida Ravichandra Yadav, were named for the panel.
