Sharmila opens up against BJP, too!

All these days, YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) president Y S Sharmila had been targeting only ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on various public issues.

Most of the time, she has been confined to making strong comments in the social media against the TRS government, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his son K T Rama Rao. It is understood because her prime target is KCR, if she wants to attract the people.

However, she has now realised that it is not enough to attack the TRS alone, but also the Bharatiya Janata Party which is growing as a strong political force in the state.

She has to counter the BJP, too, which is in power at the Centre, if she has to make any impact on the electorate.

That is why, Sharmila has started attacking the Narendra Modi government as well. On Monday, she described KCR and Narendra Modi as two pieces of the same cloth.

“Modi has not done anything for the country and KCR not achieved anything for the state,” she said.

She said Telangana had not got any benefit from the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. At the same time, KCR also had not achieved anything to the state from the Centre.

“Both of them miserably failed to fulfil their promises made to the people,” she said.

The YSRTP leader pointed out that Modi had promised to create two crore jobs every year for the unemployed in the country. Similarly, KCR had promised to fill two lakh job vacancies in the state. Both of them had failed to keep up their promises, she said.

While Modi was closing down all public sector undertakings, KCR was sacking employees and not filling up vacancies, as a result of which the unemployed were committing suicide, she criticised.

“Modi ignored Telangana and sanctioned railway coach factory to Maharashtra, while KCR kept silent. Similarly, Modi turned a blind eye towards setting up central educational institutions in Telangana, while KCR has ignored providing free education from KG-to-PG,” she said.

Sharmila said both the TRS and the BJP had started dashing off letters to each other only to hoodwink the people.

“In the next elections, the people will reject both the parties,” she said.
