Raghurama Extends Deadline To May 14?

YSR Congress rebel MP, K Raghurama Krishnam Raju, is understood to have extended the deadline for his resignation.

He had set February 5, 2022 as the deadline to his party leadership to disqualify his membership from Parliament failing which he would resign on his own.

He dared Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and the Parliamentary Party leadership to go to any extent and get his membership disqualified.

The February 5, was the last day of the Budget session of Parliament and he wanted the YSR Congress leaders to use their presence in the Parliament to get him axed.

However, having canclled his Pongal tour to his native Bhimavaram town in West Godavari district, Raghurama Krishnam Raju set the new deadline.

This time, he extended it to May 14, and said that he would quit his Lok Sabha seat and contest again.

While it is not known what made him to extend the deadline, the rumours in Amaravati say that he is on second thoughts and is waiting for other parties, particularly the TDP either to give him ticket or back his electioneering.

It is to be seen what is in store for him or what are his plans as the YSR Congress leadership had intensified efforts for his disqualification based on his meeting with Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu in Tirupati some time back.
