Putta episode damaged reputation of four families!

Putta episode damaged reputation of four families!

The controversy over Telugu Desam Party MP Putta Mahesh Kumar Yadav’s involvement in drug haul at a late-night party in Moinabad on the outskirts of Hyderabad has caught at least four influential political families across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in an embarrassing situation, damaging their reputation.

Mahesh Kumar Yadav currently serves as the Member of Parliament from Eluru.

His father, Putta Sudhakar Yadav, is the MLA from Mydukur and previously served as chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board.

Mahesh’s uncle is veteran politician Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, a former Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and former state minister. Ramakrishnudu’s daughter Divya represents Tuni as an MLA, making her Mahesh’s sister-in-law.

The family network also extends to Telangana politics. Former minister and current Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav is related to Mahesh’s family – Mahesh’s brother Ravi Yadav is married into the Talasani family.

Additionally, Naveen Yadav, who recently won the Jubilee Hills by-election on the Congress ticket, is also closely related to Talasani Srinivas Yadav.

With one Member of Parliament and four MLAs linked through family relations, the controversy surrounding Mahesh Kumar Yadav has reportedly put these families in an awkward position politically.

Although many of them enjoy significant public support, political observers say the drugs case has caused reputational damage across both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
