Pawan to stay away from Shah visit to AP

Pawan to stay away from Shah visit to AP

Jana Sena Party chief and power star Pawan Kalyan will not be meeting senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union home minister Amit Shah, who will be visiting Andhra Pradesh for a day on June 11.

“Pawan is not going to take part in the public meeting of Shah in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. Reason is that it is purely a BJP programme,” BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member CM Ramesh said.

The Jana Sena Party chief also doesn’t have any plans to  meet Shah personally, nor was there any call from Shah to Pawan, unlike on November 11, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited him for talks in Visakhapatnam.

This led to the speculations that Pawan is unhappy with the lack of proper response from the BJP leadership for a proposal to have an alliance with the TDP. He may snap ties with the saffron party, if there is no alliance with the TDP.

Ramesh, however, said the BJP would certainly have a role to play in the next government coming to power in Andhra Pradesh, adding that there was no question of allowing any split in the anti-government vote.

On poll alliance, the BJP leader said that the Central leadership alone could take a decision. BJP has been the only party which ushred tremendous development since Independence and every day, roads were being laid over an extent of 100 km on the average in the country, he stated.

Ramesh said that BJP leader Nadda would be addressing a meeting in Tirupati on Saturday. Asked what transpired between Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu and Amit Shah in their recent meeting, he said that only they should talk about it.
