The video footage obtained from Park Hyatt hotel in Hyderabad on a meeting of Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar with BJP MP Sujana Chowdary and former BJP minister Kamineni Srinivas on June 13 has clearly indicates some kind of mafia style of operation against the Jagan Mohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh.
This is the argument of the YSR Congress party which sought to nail the underhand activities of Nimmagadda.
“He is hobnobbing with Telugu Desam Party moles in the BJP. It indicates that Nimmagadda is no holy cow after all and he has no right to place himself on a moral pedestal,” an unofficial statement from the party sources to the media said.
The YSRC alleged that Nimmagadda is known to have maintained strong political and business relations with Sujana Chowdary, Vijayawada MLA Gadde Rammohan, former ministers Kamineni Srinivas, Devineni Uma and Prathipati Pulla Rao, apart from various other TDP spokespersons. It casts aspersions on his ability to hold a Constitutional post which demands non-partisan conduct.
The party further described Nimmagadda as a Kamma lobbyist, known for maintaining a database of police, revenue and judicial officers of his community. He went out of his way to grant promotions and good postings.
The party also alleged Nimmagadda had involved in land grabbing of poor people’s lands in Visakhapatnam. A farm land ranging between 1-3 acres in Moinabad on the outskirts of Hyderabad is another controversy surrounding this man.
“His links with Mullapudi Harichandra Prasad from Andhra Sugars in Tanuku, Biological Evans and Star Hospitals also raise multiple questions on his dealings with big business houses who sponsor his shady activities,” the YSRC said.
