Naidu to focus on attacks on TDP cadre!

Telugu Desam Party is gearing up to play the role of opposition in the assembly and its main focus seems to be highlighting the alleged “criminal” activities of the ruling YSR Congress party.

TDP president and leader of opposition N Chandrababu Naidu told the party legislators at the TD legislature party meeting held in Amaravati on Tuesday that they should raise the issue of attacks on its party workers by the YSR Congress during the ensuing Assembly session which will commence on Wednesday.

Naidu expressed serious concern over the spurt in post-poll violence perpetrated by the YSR Congress activists across the state by attacking the TDP cadre.

Naidu announced setting up of a toll free number for the party workers to register their grievances.

The TDLP unanimously passed a resolution condemning the attacks on party cadre in Anantapur, Guntur and Prakasam districts.

Naidu advised the district level party functionaries to be available to the cadre and immediately forward such information to party headquarters.

He said the TDP will chalk out an action plan in the party extended meet on June 14.

“We must bring pressure on the government to come to the rescue of our workers,” he said.

Naidu also decided to bring pressure on the Jagan government to fulfill all the promises and clear the pending dues to farmers.

“The fourth and fifth instalments of loan waiver scheme are due to be paid to farmers. We could not do it due to election code, but we gave bonds to farmers with 10 per cent interest rate. The new government should clear them,” he said.

The YSRC government already scrapped several initiatives started by TDP.

“It is unfortunate that a senior leader like Naidu criticizing the days old government of Jagan. It is wrong to say that the new government had stopped development. It will take stock of finances and implement all the schemes,” party senior leader Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said.
