Naidu-Chintamaneni: Who Will Meet Whom?

Naidu-Chintamaneni: Who Will Meet Whom?

Controversial leader Chintamaneni Prabhakar is out of jail on bail. He spoke to party chief Chandrababu Naidu over phone after the release.

Naidu, who is scheduled to meet the party leaders and cadre of West Godavari district for three days from Monday told Chintamaneni to wait for him till Monday.

Chintamaneni said he was subjected to torture by the government in the name of cases and survived because he has faith in judiciary.

Otherwise, he said he too would have met the fate of former speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, who committed suicide.

This apart, the debate in West Godavari now is on the proposed meeting between Chintamaneni and Chandrababu Naidu in Eluru on Monday.

The TDP leaders say that Chintamaneni would come to Eluru in a rally from Denduluru and meet Chandrababu Naidu on Monday.

However, Chintamaneni’s supporters say that Chandrababu Naidu would visit Chintamaneni in Denduluru first and would go to Eluru together in a rally.

Naidu had extended support to Chintamaneni and had sent his son Lokesh to meet him in the Jail. He claimed that Chintamaneni had become a mass leader by challenging Jaganmohan Reddy’s repressive governance.

In the light of Chandrababu Naidu’s heroic attribution to Chintamaneni, it is widely debated whether he would go to Denduluru and accompany the “Mass Leader” to Eluru making it an event to cast shadow on the Jaganmohan Reddy government.

With fire brand leaders leaving the TDP, it is compulsory for Naidu to save Chintamaneni and others in pleasing manner rather than his own style of bossing over the leaders.
