The Google report of the most-searched celebrities in the year 2020 proves that the direct OTT releases have not brought much popularity to the stars who had acted in them.
Among the top ten celebrities, actors like Allu Arjun, who scored a massive hit and expanded his popularity beyond the Telugu states with “Ala Vaikunthapurramloo” featured at the national level.
Allu Arjun stood at tenth place among the top-10 most-searched celebrities in India.
Sushant Singh Rajput, who had a tragic death in June this year, was the most-searched celebrity. Amitabh Bachchan stood in second place.
Others who featured in the list are singer late SP Balasubrahmanyam (#7), Sonu Sood (#9), Akshay Kumar (#3), Salman Khan (#4), and Irrfan Khan (#5).
From South India, Allu Arjun is the only male star who was searched the most by netizens this year, thanks to the viral song “Butta Bomma”.
