Jagan's Case Postponed As CBI Sleuths Suffer Fever

The CBI court which is hearing a petition by MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju to cancel Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bail, posted the case for July 30 following a request from the CBI.

Hearing on the case was postponed several times so far as the CBI was not inclined to file its arguments earlier.

This time, the CBI said that the officers looking into the case were down with fever and it required some more time to file affidavit.

The court had initially posted the case for hearing on July 26 following which MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju had been making tall claims in a section of the media.

The MP gave several statements between July 14 and 25 that “anything might happen on July 26” when the CBI court begins hearing.

He gave several indications that the court would cancel the bail and direct the CBI to take Jagan Mohan Reddy into custody.

A section of the media, which is anxiously waiting for such news had given wide publicity to Raghurama Krishnam Raju’s statements for all these days.

However, as the CBI sought time on Monday, both Raghurama Krishnam Raju and the media waiting for some breaking news looked upset.

The CBI sleuths were suffering from fever to file affidavit on the case and it might take some more days.

Fever in the Covid 19 pandemic means a Covid 19 positive suspect which would mean that the officer would require a 14-day home isolation.
