Jagan to spruce up YSRCP with young faces!

YSR Congress party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy appears to be looking towards infusing young blood into the party, while sidelining the seniors, as a new strategy to rejuvenate the party cadre.

According to reports from the party, Jagan has begun revamping his party structure with more young leaders.

A full-fledged committee has been formed, including several young leaders, particularly those active on social media.

Interestingly, most of these are children of senior leaders like late Jakkampudi Rammohan Rao, Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Merugu Nagarjuna and Dadisetty Raja etc.

On Friday, Jagan appointed a strong youth wing of the party with Jakampudi Raja, former MLA from Rajanagaram in East Godavari as the president and Byreddy Siddharth Reddy from Nandyal as the executive president.

Former Tirupati urban development authority chairman Chevireddy Mohit Reddy would be the general secretary.

The vice-presidents are: Mentada Swaroop Kumar – Srikakulam, Merugu Chandan Nag – Prakasam, Regam Chanakya – Alluri Sitarama Raju and Sheikh Shafiullah – YSR Kadapa.

Similarly, Jagan also appointed zonal presidents - Ambati Nag Vinayak Sailesh – Visakhapatnam, Dadisetti Srinivas – Kakinada, Kallam Harikrishna Reddy – Guntur, Mareddy Venkataadri Reddy – Prakasam, Pitta Hemanth Reddy – Chittoor and Ellareddygari Pranay Reddy – Anantapuram

Among the general secretaries are Kongara Murali Krishna – Alluri Sitarama Raju, Goura Srihari – Krishna, Dandamudi Rajesh – NTR, Galiveti Vivekananda Reddy – Annamayya (Rayachoti), Kotagiri Sandeep – Eluru, Kadiveti Chandrasekhar Reddy – Nellore, Palishetti Suresh Raj Kumar – Anakapalli, Kandregula CH Achyutarama Reddy – Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema.

The new committee is expected to meet with Jagan soon at the Tadepalli headquarters, where he is expected to guide the team to frequently meet with district presidents.

They will expose injustices, raise their voice against corruption and violence, and ensure they remain accessible to the public.
