Jagan Axes Two Senior Leaders

YSR Congress president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had axed two senior leaders on charges of anti-party activities.

The two leaders, Ravi Venkata Ramana from Ponnuru and former MLA D Y Das from Pamarru were suspended from the party.

While Venkata Ramana contested the 2014 elections and lost the battle, Das was MLA from the Congress in 2009 elections.

The two leaders were accused of working against the sitting MLAs, Kilari Venkata Rosaiah and Kaile Anil Kumar respectively.

The two legislators have complained to the party high command against the two leaders for forming groups in the constituency and working against the MLAs.

Jagan Mohan Reddy had ordered internal enquiry on these two leaders and finally suspended them from the party.

Jagan Mohan Reddy had warned the party leaders of disciplinary action if they indulged in the anti-party activities.

He told the party leaders to work together to win the 2024 elections facing the opposition parties and the media.

He said he would not spare any leader if found indulging in anti-party activities or promoting groupism in the party.

The axe on the two senior leaders had sent clear message to the rank and file of the party down the line.

It is to be seen how far the leaders would correct themselves as desired by Jagan Mohan Reddy ahead of the 2024 general elections.
