Though there are representatives elected by people, it appears Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy is the only man who is bringing up the issues of Vizag regularly.
He has made best use of his opportunities to bring Vizag’s issues to the notice of Centre.
Be it letters, questions or by speaking at the Parliament, he is using various forms to highlight the challenges faced by the city. As a result, the Centre is now having to answer.
Recently Vijayasai Reddy spoke to Railway Minister and convinced him to increase the coaches in Araku Train to meet the tourist demand.
Now, positive response is being received for his proposal of having special trains between Vizag-Tirupathi and Vizag-Hyderabad.
Reddy is also asking the Centre to develop Vizag industrially and IT-wise and support the city by providing funds.
Overall, he is proving to be the true representative of Vizag by bringing up the issues of the city and addressing them promptly.
Experts are suggesting if the elected representatives also do the same, a major part of North Andhra problems would be resolved.
