Dhulipalla Booked For Violating Lockdown!

Senior Telugu Desam Party leader and former MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar might have come out of the case filed by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government in connection with the alleged irregularities in Sangam Dairy following a high court order.

But it appears the government is not going to leave him. He has now been booked in another case for violating the ongoing curfew imposed in the state to prevent the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.

The Vijayawada police registered a case against Dhulipalla for conducting a meeting of Sangam Dairy board members at Novotel Hotel in the city on May 29.

According to the first information report filed with the Patamata police station, a conference hall and another room was booked in the hotel in the name of Sangam dairy.

At around 2 pm, Dhulipalla and 20 others assembled in the lobby and completed their lunch.

“Later, they went to M Floor and conducted meeting in conference hall,” the FIR said.

The police said it was a clear violation of state government’s curfew rules for preventing the spread of Coronavirus. The case was booked under Epidemic Diseases Act 1897.

The meeting, which was held for the first time after the restoration of the licence to Sangam Dairy by the state high court, took various decisions including payment of interim dividend to the farmers to the extent of Rs 3.5 crore.
