Corona Haunts YV Ahead Of TTD Brahmotsavams!

Coronavirus seems to be haunting people who had been associated with the activities on Tirumala, the abode of Lord Venkateshwara, in the wake of increasing number of pilgrims to the hill shrine.

Even as all arrangements are being made for the launch of Dasara Navararathri Brahmotsavams in the Tirumala temple, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust board chairman Y V Subba Reddy reportedly tested Corona on Wednesday.

Subba Reddy is learnt to have been shifted to Hyderabad for a better treatment.

It was only last week that he had chaired the meeting of TTD trust board to take some important decisions on the conduct of Brahmotsavams. He even took part in a family function at his home.

Now, all those who had been associated with Subba Reddy are now worried about their health condition. They are also said to be undergoing tests for Covid-19 to rule out the possibility.

Similarly, endowments minister Vellampalli Srinivas also tested positive in the last week of September after taking part in the Salakatla Brahmotsavams in Tirumala, along with chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and other VIPs.

Vellampalli had been undergoing treatment since then, but with no improvement in their health condition, he was shifted to a private hospital in Hyderabad in a private special flight for better treatment.

It may be mentioned that former TTD chairman and Tirupati MP Bhumana Karunakar Reddy also contracted the virus for a second time and is presently undergoing treatment in Apollo Hospitals, Chennai.

He first got Corona in the last week of August but got cured within eight days. He also took part in the TTD Brahmotsavams in the last week of September and his disease got relapsed in the first week of October.

He was first admitted to Ruia Hospital in Tirupati but was later moved to Chennai.
