Chiranjeevi will Campaign for Congress in Andhra

Gidugu Rudra Raju, the former Pradesh Congress Committee president and candidate for the Rajamahendravaram Lok Sabha seat, affirmed that Chiranjeevi, former Union minister and actor, remains committed to the Congress party and will actively campaign for it in the upcoming days.

Raju officially inaugurated the Congress party office in Rajamahendravaram on Tuesday. Responding to queries from journalists regarding Chiranjeevi's purported donation of Rs 5 crore to Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, Raju mentioned that while Chiranjeevi may extend support as a brother, he remains dedicated to the Congress and has not tendered his resignation from the party.

He emphasized that if Congress secures power, they would ensure the implementation of the AP Reorganisation Act, including its provisions for financial assistance to underdeveloped regions, equitable division of assets, and other clauses. Raju also pledged to initiate measures for the waiver of agricultural loans.

Regarding D. Purandeswari, the BJP state president, Raju remarked that she has a history of aligning herself with the ruling parties, noting her ministerial roles during the UPA regime.
