Cheating case against Veerraju's son-in-law

Within days of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Andhra Pradesh unit president Somu Veerraju launching a tirade against the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government at the Vijayawada meeting, West Godavari police booked a criminal case against his son-in-law Kavala Venkata Narasimham for allegedly cheating a bank and resorting to forgery of documents.

The Kovvur town police registered a case against Narasimham under Sections  406, 419, 420 and 465 of Indian Penal Code, based on a complaint lodged by Gadde Jayaramakrishna of Rajahmundry.

Jayaramakrishna alleged that Narasimham had obtained loans from the State Bank of India branch at Kovvur by forging his signature on his property documents.

Veerraju’s daughter and Narasimham’s wife Surya Kumari described the case as a part of a big political conspiracy to defame her father.

“My father is no way connected with the bank loan. In fact, there has been absolutely no relations between me and my father after my marriage. He has not come to my house even once after my marriage and I have not gone to his place,” she clarified.

Suryakumari said her husband had business relations with Jayaramakrishna and had taken loans only as part of business transactions.

In fact, there were discussions between the two partners in Rajahmundry in the presence of mediators only on Monday.

“We have been falsely implicated in the case. The police have not served any notice to us before registering the case. The cases were filed only to politically malign my father and my family,” she said.
