BRS also begins writing in Red Book!

The “Red Book” maintained by Telugu Desam Party general secretary Nara Lokesh before the party came to power in Andhra Pradesh last year seems to have given a lot of inspiration for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi in Telangana, which was thrown out of power in the last assembly elections in December 2023.

Just as the TDP government began taking action against the YSR Congress party leaders and officials who had allegedly harassed the TDP leaders during the Jagan Mohan Reddy regime, the BRS leaders are also warning the officials of Telangana who are presently creating troubles for them.

On Monday, senior BRS leader and former minister T Harish Rao said some overenthusiastic police officials are harassing social media warriors of the BRS by slapping false and illegal cases on them.

“Our legal cell is functioning effectively. We shall note down the names of those officials who are overstepping their limits in the “Red Book.” We are observing all the overreactions by the officials. We warn those officials indulging in excesses to be cautious,” he said.

Harish Rao said the Congress leadership has been threatening the BRS leaders, right from sarpanches to Zilla Parishad Chairpersons, in one way or the other.

“Power is not permanent. Tomorrow, it will be the turn of the Congress leaders to face the music,” he said.

The BRS leader recalled that during the Telangana movement, those arrested were given food and released after some time.

“But under Revanth Reddy’s rule, people are being arrested at midnight and in the early hours. Even female journalists have been arrested during the night,” he said.

“Even during the Seemandhra regime, when Sabitha Indra Reddy was the Home Minister, we were treated with some dignity. But after Revanth took charge, law and order has completely collapsed. This is evident across all sectors,” he alleged.
