Arrest of Jagan's secretary, OSD anytime?

The stage is set for the arrest of K Dhanunjay Reddy, former secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office during the YSR Congress Party government, and Jagan Mohan Reddy’s officer on special duty, Krishna Mohan Reddy, in connection with the alleged multi-crore liquor scam under the previous administration.

According to reports, the Andhra Pradesh Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) has named Dhanunjay Reddy, Krishna Mohan Reddy, and Bharathi Cements’ full-time director, Govindappa Balaji, as accused in the case.

On Tuesday, SIT officials submitted a memo to the ACB Special Court in Vijayawada, adding the three to the list of accused — bringing the total to 33.

Dhanunjay Reddy is listed as A-31, Krishna Mohan Reddy as A-32, and Govindappa Balaji as A-33. The SIT is expected to arrest them soon for questioning.

The SIT alleges that the trio played key roles in formulating a policy framework that enabled large-scale bribe collection and managed the illicit network on behalf of senior leadership.

Prime accused Raj Kasireddy (A-1), YSRCP MP Peddireddy Mithun Reddy, and former MP V. Vijayasai Reddy allegedly coordinated with the newly named accused in dominating the liquor syndicate.

The SIT, in earlier remand reports, indicated their involvement, arguing they could influence witnesses and obstruct the investigation.

Investigators found that liquor suppliers and distilleries with large orders were forced to pay bribes amounting to ₹50–60 crore monthly, routed through Krishna Mohan Reddy and Balaji to top officials.

Dhanunjay Reddy, a retired IAS officer, was also linked to these financial dealings.

All three had applied for anticipatory bail from the High Court and Supreme Court but were denied relief. They are currently absconding and not cooperating with the investigation.
