Alliance triggers revolt from TDP ranks!

Alliance triggers revolt from TDP ranks!

As expected, the alliance between the Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena, which is now joined by the Bharatiya Janata Party has triggered massive uproar in the TDP rank and file in several constituencies.

Especially in Pithapuram, there was a massive unrest in the TDP camp, after Pawan Kalyan himself announced that he will be contesting the assembly elections from there.

TDP in-charge of Pithapuram and former MLA SVSN Varma immediately went into huddle and registered a protest against the party for allotting the seat to the Jana Sena Party chief.

Showing dissent, the TDP supporters from Pithapuram burnt the TDP-JSP alliance's manifesto, TDP flags, and Varma's photos with Lokesh. Rattled by the development, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu telephoned Varma and tried to console him.

He requested Varma not to take any hasty decision and asked him to come to Vijayawada for talks. Varma, who lamented that the party had done injustice to him, said he would come to Vijayawada on Friday, after discussing with his followers.

In Tirupati, too, the TDP leaders registered protest after the reports that the Jana Sena Party would give the ticket to sitting MLA Arani Srinivasulu, who defected from YSRCP. They demanded that the seat should be given to a local Balija leader.

In Yelamanchili, too, local TDP ticket aspirant Nageshwara Rao expressed dissatisfaction over the allotment of the seat to Jana Sena Party. He asked the party leaders to rethink on the seat allotment.

In Penamaluru, local TDP leader Bode Prasad announced that he would contest as an independent, if the TDP doesn’t give him the ticket.

“I shall continue in the party, but would contest the elections. I am loyal to the TDP till my last breath,” he said.
