There was a very strict director in the history of Indian Cinema. His name was Raghunath Sundaram and he was from Tamil film industry. He made several films but discipline is his first motto that precedes his business. He is from Modern Art Studio banner.
Here are a few examples:
1. He made 'Sahasra Siracheda Apooova Chintamani', a Telugu film with Jaggayya. That was the last day of shooting of the film. But Jaggayya smoked in the sets of the film breaking the rules set by Sundaram. That's all. He burnt down entire film and made the complete film with Kantha Rao again.
2. A popular actress asked Sundaram to leave her quick for that day, saying that she gave the date for other producer too. Then Sundaram was burned with anger and locked her in a room. She left her only at the stipulated time and warned her not give same dates for everyone.
3. SV Ranga Rao arrived to a spot 15 minutes late. The driver returned back to studio as Sundaram asked him not to wait more than 10 minutes. Then SVR reached the studio and shouted on the driver for returning back. Sundaram answered SVR saying 'what he did was right. If he stayed there for another 2 minutes he would have lost the job".
Are those examples not enough to say about the strictness of that producer?
