Actor Saif Ali Khan has revealed that he feels uncomfortable performing at weddings, even though it is a common practice in the film industry.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter India, Saif recalled an early experience in his career that strongly influenced his perspective.
He shared that while performing at a wedding in Mumbai, a family member discouraged him.
“I was dancing at a wedding once in Bombay and my aunt came backstage and said, ‘Don’t tell me you are dancing at this wedding,’” Saif said, adding that the moment left a lasting impression on him.
Saif explained that he finds the blurred line between being a guest and a performer at such events awkward and uncomfortable.
While he acknowledged that wedding performances are widely accepted in the industry, he said they no longer align with his personal comfort and values.
