In November, it was reported that filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga would shoot the first schedule of Spirit until the end of December, followed by a break for the New Year. However, the director appears to have revised his plans.
With Vanga now keen on releasing the cop action drama by mid-2027 instead of December 2027, filming is set to continue through the New Year period.
According to a source, Spirit went on floors in Hyderabad on November 27, and the team will continue shooting until the first week of January before taking a short break.
“The New Year’s break has been called off,” the source added.
Spirit marks Vanga’s first collaboration with both Prabhas and Vivek Oberoi. Insiders reveal that the director has planned distinctive looks not only for Prabhas but also for Oberoi, who plays the antagonist.
Drawing a comparison to Animal, which showcased Bobby Deol in a striking new avatar, the insider said Spirit will present Vivek Oberoi in a similarly surprising and unconventional role.
