Beeram Mastan Rao was the director in past who made many films. But he is remembered in big way with Krishna's 'Burrepalem Bullodu' that launched Sridevi as commercial heroine on Telugu screen after 16 Yella Vayasu. Beeram said that he had an experience with knickers while dealing with Sridevi for a song.
Beeram said, "I got a knickers stitched for Sridevi but she negated to wear that complaining that is very short. Then I made it a little long and she said that was good. Then I gave scissor on either side of the knickers up to two inches to give aesthetic appeal for that. That way Sridevi turned the pioneer in introducing knickers on screen for heroines. Many heroines followed that later on".
Well, that is a memory recalled by Beeram Mastana Rao. In fact, Sridevi never touched knickers after that film.
