'ATM', which started streaming on ZEE5 on January 20, is the latest blockbuster web original in Telugu. Starring VJ Sunny, Subbaraju and many others, the heist thriller is posting solid numbers on the streaming platform.
So far, in about a week, 'ATM' has amassed a massive 50 million streaming minutes. This is an amazing run for a web series that doesn't feature a big star.
The viewers have been intrigued by the content, the talented Harish Shankar's writing, the performances, and the tightly-written last four episodes of the 8-episode series. The interest levels of the viewer soar as soon as Subbaraju's character bursts forth on the scene. Harish Shankar, known for feature film blockbusters like 'Gabbar Singh', wrote a commercial and yet content-driven story.
Directed by C Chandra Mohan, the heist drama is about the shenanigans of four petty thieves who pull off a big-ticket heist. The final episode generates suspense by introducing a 5th thief who has been subjecting the cops to shock and awe. The second season of 'ATM' is now much awaited, especially after the compelling climax of the current season.
Prashanth R Vihari's background score and Monic Kumar G's cinematography are being liked by the viewers. The dialogues by Vijay Muthyam, CP Emmanuel are focused. Krishna, Raviraj, Roiel Shree have played VJ Sunny's comrades, while Prudhvi is a politician. Divya Vani, Divi Vadthya, Harshini and others are also part of the cast. Dil Raju Productions has bankrolled it.
