A brief moment involving Allu Arjun’s security team and Jr NTR’s body double went viral on social media during the grand wedding reception of Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda in Hyderabad on March 4.
The person seen in the video was theatre artist Eshwar Harris, who has previously worked as Jr NTR’s body double in the film RRR.
After the clip spread widely online, Harris clarified the situation in a video posted on Instagram. “Many people are asking if it is me in the video with Allu Arjun. Yes, that is me,” he said.
Explaining what happened, Harris said he was entering the venue at the same time Allu Arjun was moving toward the stage for photographs. The actor’s security team reportedly thought Harris was approaching Allu Arjun or might block the cameras, and therefore stopped him.
According to Harris, the situation was minor but became exaggerated after the video circulated on social media. He described it as a small incident that was blown out of proportion online.
Eshwar Harris had gained attention earlier for working as Jr NTR’s body double in RRR. Following the film’s success, he also appeared in several advertisements. Reports say the theatre artist later turned down an opportunity to work on War 2 due to low remuneration.
Meanwhile, Harris also shared several photos from the reception on Instagram, including throwback pictures with Vijay Deverakonda and his brother Anand Deverakonda.
