Marking Independence Day, Puri comes up with a stimulating podcast on the topic of Mera Bharat Mahan.
The director questions citizens of the country over rise in corruption and dishonesty.
He says nobody is perfect, but we need to take oath that we should not to repeat the misdoings we did in the past.
Recalling the incident of Galwan Valley Face-Off between Indian and Chinese troops, he asserts we don’t really need to sacrifice our lives likes the soldiers. “Stop urinating on walls. This is also a way of showing our patriotism.”
Though his raw language and harsh criticism sound unpleasant to few, they too accept that Puri is absolutely correct.
In fact, positive comments for his statements prove the same.
Interestingly, Puri had announced to make a film titled Jana Gana Mana. A star hero is likely to play the protagonist in the film to be made as a Pan India entertainer.
