After opening to sensational numbers in the Telugu states, NTR’s debut Hindi film War 2 has faced a worrying dip in collections on its second day.
The spy thriller brought in around ₹12 crore nett on day two, a steep fall from its ₹22 crore nett opening day, reflecting a 40–50% drop that trade circles describe as alarming.
In an effort to revive momentum, Hrithik Roshan even travelled to Hyderabad to promote the film and drum up support among Telugu audiences.
Despite this, industry analysts suggest that NTR may have picked the wrong project for his much-anticipated Bollywood entry.
So far, War 2 has grossed over ₹80 crore across India, with the Telugu states contributing an estimated ₹35 crore.
However, with such a sharp decline so early in its run, the film still has a long way to go before entering the safe zone.
The upcoming weekend, especially with Janmashtami adding a partial holiday boost, will be crucial in determining whether War 2 can regain its footing at the box office.
