Unlike recent films "Bhairavakona" and "Gaami", Sree Vishnu's "Om Bheem Bush" had a poor start at the box office in the United States.
Although the film was heavily promoted and the trailers drew attention, it did not debut well.
In its first weekend, "Om Bheem Bush" grossed slightly more than $320k.
Sree Vishnu's previous smash hit was "Samajavaragamana," which grossed more over $1 million over its entire run and earned more than $350k in its first weekend.
It remains to be seen whether this film can generate enough revenue during the week to reach the half-million-dollar milestone.
Both "Ooru Peru Bhairavakona" and "Gaami" made more than half a million dollars.
"Om Bheem Bush" will have no chance next weekend as the highly anticipated "Tillu Square" will dominate the box office. In a way, it is a disappointing result for Sree Vishnu.
