Dhurandhar continues to grab attention not only for its strong box-office run but also for its massive OTT deal.
The Ranveer Singh starrer, directed by Aditya Dhar, has reportedly set a new benchmark on Netflix, overtaking Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 in the OTT race.
According to industry sources, Dhurandhar has sold its OTT rights for around ₹285 crore, making it the highest-ever Netflix deal for a Hindi film so far.
Previously, Pushpa 2 held the record with an estimated OTT sale of nearly ₹275 crore. With this deal, Dhurandhar has crossed that milestone and created a new record.
The hefty price highlights the strong demand for the film even before the completion of its theatrical run. Netflix’s willingness to invest such a large sum reflects the platform’s confidence in the film’s reach and long-term appeal.
Alongside the OTT buzz, Dhurandhar is also performing exceptionally well in theatres.
The film has already registered the biggest second-week collection in Hindi cinema, surpassing the earlier record held by Pushpa 2, according to Sacnilk. Remarkably, it achieved this feat within just five days.
The ensemble cast features Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, with several supporting actors playing key roles. The film is designed as the first part of a planned two-part series.
The story revolves around a decade-long intelligence mission, centring on an undercover Indian agent who infiltrates the criminal and political underworld of Karachi.
Blending espionage, action, and drama, the film lays the groundwork for a larger narrative to unfold in the sequel.
With record-breaking box-office numbers and an all-time high OTT deal, Dhurandhar has firmly established itself as one of the biggest Hindi films in recent years.
