Trade: Polimera Slides Up- Keedaa Kola Loses Spark

Small film that was made with a low budget and no 'star' cast has been making waves at the box office.

The film is "Maa Oori Polimera 2," which was released on Friday with Satyam Rajesh, Rakendumouli, Baladitya, and Getup Seenu in the male lead roles, while the female leads were played by Dr. Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Sahiti Dasari, and Ramya Ponduri.

The first part of this franchise was released on OTT during the Covid-19 period and received acclaim from the viewers. That was the primary driving factor for this sequel that hit the theaters.

The first part on OTT served as publicity for the sequel.

The well-written script with ample twists and turns captivated the audience, winning the attention of the target audience. With horror being the genre, the film has garnered good traction at the box office.

The announcement of the third part of this franchise is expected to grab attention once again. Thus, the "Maa Oori Polimera" series has proven that a low-budget production, coupled with reasonably good writing, can yield success at the box office.

On the other hand, the film "Keedaa Kola," of Tarun Bhascker which was released on the same day, experienced a significant drop within two days, despite the initial positive talk and response.

The film managed to cast its spell on the Naizam box office for the first two days, while it was considered a disaster in the Andhra and Ceded regions.

Surprisingly, the film saw good collections in the USA. However, overall, the Naizam collections also plummeted drastically by the third day, which happened to be a Sunday.
