The Raja Saab Shifts from Dec 2025 to Jan 2026

It is now confirmed that Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab will not hit theatres in December as initially planned.

While the production team had earlier targeted December 5, 2025, the makers are now aiming for a January 9, 2026 release — timed perfectly with the Sankranthi festival season.

According to insiders and several distributors, the shift is a strategic one.

The post-production process, especially the extensive VFX work, will be wrapped up by mid-October, along with remaining patchwork and song shoots.

To ensure the best possible cinematic experience, the team is opting for the extra breathing room that a January release allows.

Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab marks a return to Sankranthi for Prabhas, who has previously delivered blockbusters during this festive window, including his early hit Varsham.

Recently leaning toward summer and monsoon releases, the star’s comeback to the Sankranthi slot with a horror-comedy adds to the buzz.

The film also features Sanjay Dutt in a pivotal role as Prabhas’s grandfather, alongside Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhhi Kumar.

With strong festive box-office potential and expectations running high, an official release date announcement is awaited soon. Fans can expect a grand start to 2026.
