It is now clear that Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab will not be releasing in December as initially announced.
Although the makers had earlier set December 5, 2025, as the release date, the film is now expected to hit theatres in January.
According to several distributors, The Raja Saab is likely to arrive on January 9, 2026, as a Sankranthi festival treat for Prabhas’s fans.
Prabhas, who has delivered several blockbusters during the Sankranthi season—starting with Varsham early in his career—has recently leaned toward summer or monsoon releases.
However, with this horror-comedy, he is returning to the festive Sankranthi slot. The postponement is reportedly to give the team more time to complete the film’s visual effects.
An official announcement is expected soon.
Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab features Prabhas in the lead role, with Sanjay Dutt playing his grandfather. The film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhhi Kumar.
