Sexual Harassment In TCS: A Wake Up Call For Others

Sexual Harassment In TCS: A Wake Up Call For Others

A serious controversy has come out of a TCS BPO office in Nashik, where several women employees have alleged sexual harassment and religious targeting over the past few years.

The issue reportedly continued from around 2022 and involved multiple victims.

The matter came to light after a media report, after which police began an undercover investigation and made arrests.

TV Mohandas Pai, a well known business leader and chairman of Aarin Capital, reacted strongly to the issue. He is also a former senior executive at Infosys and a respected voice in corporate India.

Pai said he was shocked because TCS is known for strong systems and professional standards.

According to the allegations, one HR executive was involved in repeated misconduct, including inappropriate behavior in the workplace.

It is also claimed that women were targeted based on religion.

What shocked many observers was that such actions allegedly continued for years without strict action from the company.

Pai said this shows a complete failure of internal systems. He questioned what the senior management and supervisors were doing, as they should have noticed warning signs.

He also said fear among employees may have stopped them from speaking openly.

He added that HR officials who ignored complaints should face strict legal action. Pai suggested better safeguards like independent complaint systems and regular training.

He called this case a wake up call for companies to ensure employee safety.
