Starting from Racha to Seetimaarr, director Sampath Nandi and actress Tamannaah worked together for 4 movies.
They are now joining forces for a sequel. Sampath Nandi is not directing, but the movie is created and co-produced by him.
The film Odela 2 is the sequel to the super hit 2022 crime thriller Odela Railway Station which was written by Sampath Nandi and directed by Ashok Teja.
The title poster is designed strikingly as we can see Shiva Lingam with a trident in it, indicating the devotional side of the movie.
The sequel will showcase the rich culture, heritage, and traditions of the village, and how its true saviour Odela Mallanna Swamy always protects the village from evil forces. It was a creative idea to show spiritual aspects in the title poster.
Almost the same team is working for the sequel to be made on a lavish scale with some noted technicians taking part in the movie.
Tamannaah Bhatia will play the lead role in the movie which also stars Hebah Patel and Vasishta N Simha in crucial roles.
D Madhu will produce the movie on Madhu Creations and Sampath Nandi Teamworks. It will be high on VFX.
Soundar Rajan S handles the cinematography, while the music department is helmed by Ajaneesh Loknath of Kantara fame.
While the prequel was released on OTT, the sequel will be made for theatres. It will be released in multiple languages, as the subject has universal appeal.
The film’s opening pooja ceremony takes place today in Kasi. The regular shoot also commences today.
