Suchitra About Marriage Proposal With RGV

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, who was previously married to Shekhar Kapur, has collaborated with Ram Gopal Varma on films like 'Rann' and 'My Wife's Murder'.

In her autobiography 'Drama Queen', the actress/singer recalls an incident where she jokingly asked RGV to marry her through a text message, but he rejected her advances and expressed that he only uses women for sexual relationships.

Allegedly, he also stated that he appreciates women's bodies but not their intellect, adding that, in his opinion, women should be seen and not heard.

However, in a recent interview with Bollywood Thikana, Suchitra clarified that it was all meant as a joke.

She reportedly said, "It did happen, but it happened as a joke... How could anyone take seriously the idea of marrying Ram Gopal Varma? He's a very nice man, but he got so frightened by my message. That's even more amusing."

She further explained, "He took it very seriously, and he got scared. He called me to his office and assured me that I was a nice girl, while he considered himself a terrible person, and advised me not to think about all of this... I told him, 'Ramu, it was just a joke.' Even he took it seriously."

It is worth noting that Suchitra was married to Shekhar Kapur from 1999 to 2007, and the couple filed for divorce, with the actress blaming Preity Zinta for their separation.
