Samantha has recently completed two films centred on female protagonists. "Yashoda," which opens in theatres this Friday, is one of them. The other film is Gunasekhar's mythological fantasy drama "Shaakuntalam."
“Yashoda” has done whopping business before the release. The producer profited greatly from both theatrical and non-theatrical revenue. Samantha's non-theatrical revenue is astounding due to her pan-India star image.
"Shaakuntalam" will do better than "Yashoda." It will be promoted as a true pan-Indian film.
Samantha is said to have been inspired to make more heroine-centric films and demand a cut of the profits after seeing the non-theatrical revenue.
After she recovers from her autoimmune disease, she will make a decision.
