The first single from Raja Saab released today. Titled Rebel Saab, the song is filled with English and Hindi lyrics, offering very little Telugu flavour.
A brief portion featuring a grandmother’s prayer to Goddess Durga momentarily changes the tone, but the track quickly returns to full-on hero worship.
The only truly catchy line is “Pan India Number One Bachelor nene le,” which suits Prabhas perfectly. More than a theme song for Raja Saab, it plays like Prabhas’ own self-celebratory anthem.
The music, lyrics and overall sound resemble an early-2000s Tamil dubbed song. Thaman’s composition is mediocre, and the lyrics fall below expected standards.
It almost feels like the work of a newcomer, making Ramajogayya Sastry’s credit surprisingly disappointing.
Still, Prabhas’ presence dominates everything, and the song ultimately relies on his aura.
It may garner views and likes because of his stardom, but that does not make it a strong track. Anjith Hegde and Blaaze have sung the number.
It has been many years to see Prabhas in this vibe and that makes it unique. Prabhas’ look, however, is outstanding.
His slimmer appearance and stylish dance moves stand out. TG Vishwa Prasad produces the film, while Maruthi directs it.
