Rakul Gets No Relief in Delhi Court Hearing

Rakul Gets No Relief in Delhi Court Hearing

Delhi High Court today took up the hearing of Rakul Preet Singh’s urgent plea. In her plea, Rakul urged the High Court to direct the media not to broadcast any report on her in relation to the NCB investigation.

However, the Delhi High court didn’t issue any directives. The hearing has been adjourned to October 15.

Her lawyer informed the court that fake news is being peddled.

Rakul Preet Singh was questioned by NCB officials in connection with Rhea Chakraborty.

She reportedly told the officials she never consumed the drugs although Rhea and she had chat about drugs. Her lawyer read out Rakul’s statement.

“I haven't named anyone during my questioning but media reports are projecting differently. My right to dignity, privacy, to be left alone is being violated,” Rakul told the court through her lawyer.

She reiterated in her pleat that the media has been damaging her reputation.

“I was called by the NCB only as a witness but media is writing baseless reports and damaging my reputation,” she stated.

She also mentioned that she is a non-smoker. Rakul Preet Singh recently came back to Hyderabad from Mumbai.
