Praveen Kandregula is the name sounding in Tollywood at present. He made the film Cinema Bandi and could see its release on Netflix.
Praveen came to Hyderabad about 10 years ago to become a director but never joined as an assistant at any director.
He spent time doing short films with the batch mates like Shamukh, Viva Harsha etc. Finally he could approach Raj and DK, the makers of the famous web series "Family Man".
Sharing about the saga of "Cinema Bandi", Praveen said, "I narrated the line to Raj and DK. They liked it and asked us to do as a 40 min short film. We made it and they liked it immensely and produced the same as full length feature film. They spent money on making but didn't involve in any creative aspect".
Saying more about the film Praveen said, "We shot it in 30 days at Andhra-Karnataka border. We didn't compromise on making. We spent not big on actors and locations but the equipment we used to shoot is expensive. The producers asked us to expand the short film to feature film with the same actors".
Finally he concluded saying, "I am getting several calls even from Bollywood circles. I love to do pakka commercial films like Mani Ratnam".
