Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film Varanasi has been creating huge buzz ever since it was announced. Now, actor Prakash Raj has revealed interesting details about his role in the film.
During a recent interaction, Prakash Raj said he will be playing a devoted Shiva Bhakt in the movie.
He added that the character, named Shivudu, is very powerful and meaningful, and he is confident it will allow him to showcase his acting depth in a strong way.
Prakash Raj and Mahesh Babu share a long and successful association.
The duo has earlier delivered several hit films together, including Okkadu, Businessman, Maharshi and Sarileru Neekevvaru.
Directed by S S Rajamouli, Varanasi is being made as a grand mythological action epic.
Mahesh Babu will be seen in the role of Lord Ram, while Priyanka Chopra plays Mandakini. Prithviraj Sukumaran will be seen as the main antagonist, Kumbha.
Varanasi is scheduled to release in theatres on April 7, 2027, and expectations are sky-high for this ambitious project.
