Thaman attended the teaser launch of “Band Melam”, which stars “Court” fame Roshan and Sridevi in the lead roles.
While addressing the gathering, he spoke about the young pair’s on-screen chemistry. However, his remark; that “chemistry should not become physics”; raised eyebrows.
Though seemingly intended as a light-hearted joke, the comment was perceived by many as being in poor taste, especially considering that the lead actors are not even 20 years old.
