Pawan Kalyan Balances Profit And Loss In USA

OG, starring Pawan Kalyan, has emerged as the highest grossing Telugu film of the year in North America.

The film turned out to be a massive hit, earning around Rs 20 crore, while it had been sold for Rs 12 crore.

This gave the overseas distributor a good profit margin, making OG one of the most successful Telugu releases in the international market this year.

However, there’s an interesting twist to the story.

The same overseas buyer had earlier acquired Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which became one of the biggest disasters in recent times.

The huge losses from that film had put the distributor under severe pressure, wiping out a large portion of his investment.

Now, with OG’s phenomenal performance, the profits have almost perfectly compensated for the earlier setback.

In a way, Pawan Kalyan balanced the buyer’s fortunes; one failure followed by one blockbuster.

After this dramatic roller coaster ride with two consecutive films of the same star, the distributor finally ended up breaking even.
