Pawan is close to my heart, not YSRCP, says Rayudu

Pawan is close to my heart, not YSRCP, says Rayudu

After keeping mum for a couple of days, following his resignation from the YSR Congress party within 10 days of joining it, popular Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu on Wednesday indicated that he is joining the Jana Sena Party headed by power star Pawan Kalyan.

Though Rayudu declared that he wants to keep away from politics for some time as he would be playing Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 cricket matches for Mumbai Indians team, he did not lose much time in returned to active politics by joining Jana Sena.

After meeting Pawan Kalyan in the afternoon, Rayudu issued a statement stating that he had come out of the YSRCP as he realised that his ideology and that of the party were not aligned.

“I have joined the YSRCP, as I believed I could fulfil my vision. Due to some reasons, I have not seen myself fulfilling my dream going forward with YSRCP. No blames. My ideology and YSRCP’s ideologies have not aligned and it has definitely nothing to do with contesting elections and or about any seat,” he said.

The cricketer said he had come into politics to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh with pure intentions and heart.

“I have been on the ground and have visited many villages and met many people and understood their problems and I have done my best to solve them personally and I have done a lot of social work,” he said.

Though he had decided to move on from politics, Rayudu said his well-wishers, close friends and family members had asked him to meet Pavan Anna once before making that decision to understand his ideologies.

“I have met Pavan Anna and spent a lot of time discussing life and politics and understanding him. I am very happy to say his ideology and vision are very similar to mine and I am very glad to have met him,” he said.

He said he would be taking off to Dubai for his cricket commitments.

“I will always be there and stand for the people of Andhra Pradesh,” he said.

Apparently, Rayudu has been assured of being fielded as a common candidate of the TDP and Jana Sena from Guntur.
