A huge social media campaign on X is happening against War 2 by Ram Charan and Pawan Kalyan fans.
They are comparing the Day 1 collections of Game Changer, Hari Hara Veera Mallu and War 2 only in Andhra Pradesh, as ticket prices for all three have been hiked. They are showing the numbers to prove that War 2 is nowhere close to Game Changer and HHVM.
However, what they should know is that War 2 is not a Telugu film. It is a Hindi film with a Telugu dubbed version released in Andhra Pradesh, with NTR playing one of the heroes.
Moreover, Game Changer and Hari Hara Veera Mallu are direct Telugu films made exclusively in Telugu.
In spite of this, the comparison war is still going on.
On the other hand, the openings of War 2 are poor in Andhra Pradesh. While some attribute this to the not so appealing trailer for Telugu audiences, others say that NTR’s speech during the pre release event backfired.
When he said something like “Manalni evadu aapaledu” (no one can stop us), mega fans reportedly took it seriously and focused on bringing down and trolling War 2, which is already facing lukewarm reception from audiences.
Whatever the reason, NTR’s choice of War 2 seems wrong. There is no material in it that appeals to the Telugu audience, right from the trailer to the film itself. Hence, the result.
