Taraka Ratna, a politician and film actor, passed away on Saturday, February 18, at the age of 39 due to a heart attack that he suffered the previous month while participating in the Yuvagalam Padayatra of TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh in Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh.
His mortal remains have been brought to his home in Mokila, Rangareddy district, and his funeral is scheduled for February 20. Jr NTR, brother Kalyanram, and other celebrities paid their last respects to Taraka at his residence on February 19.
Taraka Ratna was transferred to Narayana Hrudayalaya hospital in Bangalore for better treatment after suffering a heart attack during the Yuvagalam Padayatra. However, his condition deteriorated, and he slipped into a coma.
He passed away on February 18, and his body has been kept at his home in Mokila.
Jr NTR and brother Nandamuri Kalyanram visited his residence to pay their last respects, along with other celebrities, including MP V Vijayasai Reddy, actors Shivaji Raja, and Ajay.
According to reports, Taraka's funeral will be held on February 20 at Mahaprashthanam, and his body was brought back to Hyderabad on February 19.
His body will be kept at the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce on Monday morning at 7 am, and the funeral rites will be performed at the Mahaprasthanam in Jubilee Hills later in the evening.
