No Garlic, No Onion, No Selfie: Wild Rules!

No Garlic, No Onion, No Selfie: Wild Rules!

The Met Gala 2025 dazzled fashion fans on May 5 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, but it wasn’t just the glamorous outfits that caught attention — it was the bizarre rules!

One rule stood out: no garlic, onion, or even parsley on the menu.

Yes, you read that right! Organizers banned strong-smelling ingredients to keep designer dresses safe and breath fresh. So, no masala vibes here!

The event followed the theme “Tailored for You,” celebrating 300 years of Black fashion and dandy style.

While stars stunned on the red carpet, strict rules kept things tightly controlled. No phones, no selfies, no smoking, and definitely no plus-ones without approval. Even celebrity spouses needed permission!

Believe it or not, even top actors had to pay — up to Rs 62 lakh (USD 75,000) per ticket. Seating was also a big deal, with no switching allowed as Anna Wintour’s team strictly managed the chart.

While the Met Gala lasted just one night, the fashion it showcased—and the rules it followed—left a lasting impression.

One thing’s for sure- no garlic dosa or selfie moments were allowed at this fashion feast!
